Self-made Managing Director of Genius Business Consultancy, Manoj Sharma gives us an insight into how they support the development of new businesses in the offshore market

I wanted to start my own firm to be in charge of my own professional affairs
explains Sharma. As an employer, his goal was to be a friend to his staff and clients. “There is no hard or fast rule in the company of working to the brink, we believe in ensuring our employees receive their benefits so they can work towards obtaining the best results. Overall, this objective is key as it shows in their performance,” he comments. “This in turn helps the company prosper as the employees are building blocks of our Consultancy,” he adds.
Genius Business Consultancy specialises in aiding new company formations within freezone, offshore and mainland districts. “We specialise in freezone and offshore. The UAE is a booming market for
prosperity and there is an opportunity for businesses to develop and grow in the free zone.” However, Genius is not limited to the free zone market as they consult for numerous businesses in various industries.
“The first step is to understand the product, and that is where we bring in our services. We conduct research for the client, such as which location and market their business will be most suitable for,” comments the Managing Director. “We also provide IT solutions such as SEO and digital,” he says.
Sharma believes that the UAE is a place where dreams can form into reality. “The UAE is a land of opportunities, and to succeed all you need is honesty and hard work,” he states. “When clients from other countries come here to start their businesses, all they need is for you to provide them with support and make them feel comfortable and safe,” Sharma says.

“Marriage changed my life and brought me luck. It gave me my son who bought bliss into my world. If I could owe my success to anyone it would be my mother, wife and son,” he says. Therefore giving his family time is important. “I cherish my role as a father and husband and truly believe behind every
successful man is his family, as that is the core support system.”
Philanthropist at Heart
“Our vision for the next 10 years is that we want to be in the top 100 in our field within the UAE market,” he states. “I want to build an orphanage, it has been a lifelong dream of mine to give back to the community. Every year we provide essentials to schools in India, which do not have basics such as stationery and clothing,” Sharma comments.
The self-made Sharma had humble beginnings yet the drive to be successful. “When I was younger, there were many things I wanted to purchase, but did not have the financial means to obtain them.
That gave me the drive to exert myself and strive to succeed.” Sharma says he compromised continuously and struggled, which paid off when he completed his Masters. “When I completed my third semester I took permission from the head of the department so I could work and raise funds for my tuition fees. I assured him that within six months I will return and complete my examinations. The vice
chancellor granted me the approval, and so I set off to Delhi,” says the self-made Managing Director who returned, and cleared his examinations with flying colours.
The struggle Sharma endured was a key factor in making him realise how aspiring entrepreneurs feel when diving nto the unknown market of starting a business. “I was motivated to develop a consultancy so I could give advice, support and knowledge to new businesses,” he comments.
The Future for Genius
Genius’ future is bright, according to Sharma. “Our expansion and growth plan is that the next turnover should be tripled.” With seven operating companies that include Creative City Fujairah, RAK Offshore, an Economic Department, Three Federal organisations in Delaware and Seychelles, Genius is the core. “We are the first to provide yoga trainer and life coach certification under the international federation and have the support and guidance of CDA-licensed Dr Alka Karla,” he says
We feel that Expo 2020 will impact our business in a positive way and are optimistic towards it. The sale and turnover will be tripled and the employer,
employee, society and country overall will see a positive impact.
